'It Ain't What You Do' by Fun Boy Three Featuring Bananarama

This is the classic song that introduced me to Bananarama back in 1982, after my bother heard it on his college radio station in Tucson and brought it and a 12-inch single of "Shy Boy" home one weekend.. The girls -- now more of a dance-friendly duo -- put out a new EP yesterday. "Now or Never," featuring the pulsing title track, the even catchier "La La Love," plus a guilt-free cover of "Moves Like Jagger" that sounds like it could have been played on the dance floor at Probe back in 1991. (The "Now or Never" extended mix is better than the single, too.) If you had told me 30 years ago that I'd still be ecstatic buying new Bananarama "records" in 2012 it wouldn't have surprised me. They were truly the soundtrack to my high school days, my friend Greg and I racing out to buy each new import 12-inch single leading up to the next album. (Our "Cruel Summer" was in '83 while America's was '84!) Little did I know "It Ain't What You Do" would be one of the last songs "featuring" someone I would actually like!

I assume you will at the NYC show. I will be at the LA one for sure (no pun intended). I'll be dancing with you in spirit at yours & you, with me, at mine. Yay!!!
