Had to buy this license plate -- with my full given name on it -- something that I have never seen once in 45 years until this weekend in Montauk. (I was happy with the "Kenny" items as a kid, but the "Ken" ones just didn't fit me.) I'm thinking the fact that the shop owner was from Ireland might have had something to do with it. I could just hear him on the phone ordering from the distributor: "Get me 20 Kevins, 20 Patricks, 20 Seamuses, 20 Ryans and a handful of Kenneths -- that should do it!"

The vanity-name-goods industry must be in a pickle with all the made-up "creative" names these days. I've seen racks with CAITLIN spelled half a dozen ways. In the Denver airport the other day, AALIYAH was there. Good grief.
Did he have a Seamus? I can never find one that said Seamus except in Ireland but that doesn't count!
You forgot the Daniels, tho.
Having never been a Doug (or a Dougie) I'm always alert for a real Douglas. Found one about 20 yrs ago at a crafts fair made out of small nails!
