Sensational lead single and title track from the Beach Boys' triumphant reunion album. A near-perfect effort that manages to sound both nostalgic and contemporary, yet never desperate -- a feat very few acts that have been around for a long time are capable of pulling off. I'm a HUGE fan of the Beach Boys, but I resisted going to see them recently at the Beacon. While it will most likely be their farewell tour, I have found their money-grubbing bickering over the years to be a big turnoff, and even more so now that they're suddenly willing to reunite even though they're collecting Social Security on top of all of those royalties! I prefer to stick to the records, which is what they do best ...

I was very impressed with this also. Yes, it's definitely been crafted to echo the hits of yesteryear, but it has an identity all its own as well. It will be interesting to hear how it holds up. The video was very clever. I never get tired of looking at Dennis!
