Cynthia Nixon 'Chooses' to Marry Longtime Partner

Cynthia Nixon has been a great advocate for LGBT causes -- marriage equality, most notably -- so I guess I should be more forgiving of her poorly worded "homosexuality is a choice for me" comments, that she stubbornly went out of her way NOT to properly clarify for entirely too long. (BTW: Justin Vivian Bond went psycho on me on Twitter for calling Cynthia out on her inability to communicate properly -- sexuality is NOT a choice!!!!! -- and even when Cynthia finally admitted she meant what I said she meant, Bond continued to be a bitch about the whole thing, going so far as to say that "pray the gay away" organizations -- which I brought up as an example of why this "sexuality is a choice" idea is so dangerous -- were OK(!) so long as they were used to help someone to decide who they were. (Huh??? Tell that to the emotionally wrecked victims of these hucksters.) Nonetheless, here's wishing Cynthia and Christine Marinoni all the happiness in the world, following their weekend nuptials in Manhattan. Marriage isn't for everyone, but having that choice is something I do believe it.
