I can personally verify that Phase 2 of the city's glorious Highline Park is now open. (It used to stop at 23rd, now runs to about 34th.) For those who don't live here, the Highline is a city park built on abandoned (elevated) railroad tracks that run along the west side of Manhattan. There was venomous opposition to the project in the early days of its planning, but I have yet to meet someone who doesn't think it's a little island of paradise now, especially on a beautiful day like today. Definitely a must for visitors.

Yeah, and I missed it, because I lost 2 days in those damn Hollister shops.
Gotta visit again, but they closed my cheapo Hostel of choice, Broadway Hotel n Hostel.
Any cheap suggestions that are in somewhat good neighborhoods and not in Yonkers?
