I'm not exactly sure what I expect Roger Federer to be doing the night before a Grand Slam semifinal -- I imagine Bjorn Borg would spend the evening alone in an ice bath with a towel over his head and Rafael Nadal hits the sack at 6 p.m. -- but gallivanting around Manhattan with the likes of Anna Wintour, Blake Lively and Diane Von Furstenberg for Fashion Night Out seems awfully nonchalant. At least fellow fashionista Serena Williams has an excuse -- she missed the Open because of a foot injury and her sister literally gave away her semifinal match earlier today against Kim Clijsters. Let's hope Roger avoided the bubbly and Serena washed away the sisterly embarrassment.

Those pictures aren't from last night...they're from Thursday night. And I think it's safe to say that if anyone knows how to pace himself at a Grand Slam, it's Federer.
Roger Federer is a big boy and I expect he knows what he is doing; he also makes a mighty fine (and attractive) addition to any social occasion so far as I am concerned ;)
