Had a great time at GLAAD's
Summer Rooftop Event on Monday night, where the who's who of
gay-lebrities turned out for the LGBT media watchdog organization's annual fundraiser atop 230 Fifth Ave. A fresh-looking Bethenny Frankel -- of Bravo fame, for those who don't watch reality television -- "hosted" the big event (she never actually made it upstairs, but it's the
lending of your name thought that counts), and costars Alex McCord (much prettier in person) and hubby Simon Van Kempen (much taller than I expected), along with figure skaters Johnny Weir and Sarah Hughes, cutie Scott Evans, actor and man-about-town Gerald McCullouch, Miss (Pro Gay) New York 2010 Claire Buffie -- plus a boatload of drag queens and other reality-show castoffs I've never heard of -- were also on hand their to lend support. I'm not sure how much money the gala raised -- tickets to the sweltering event were a cool 100 bucks, plus there was a silent and not-so-silent auction (these bathing beauties below walked around trying to seduce guests into bidding on their "used" Speedos) -- but it looked a huge success, and definitely a party I will not want to miss next year.
