Motown Artists

If Motown was Detroit's lasting contribution to the world of music, Pewabic Pottery surely would be its design equivalent. Founded in 1903 during the Arts & Crafts Movement, Pewabic is renowned for its tile and pottery in unique glazes, and can be seen in both residential and commercial buildings around the world, including the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Freer Gallery of Art in Washington and the Louvre in Paris.
