They Brake for Rainforests

Last night's '80s-themed Rainforest Fund benefit at Carnegie Hall sounds like it was a campy good time, what with Bruce Springsteen doing Bryan Adams' "Cuts Like a Knife," Elton John doing a "Like a Virgin"-"Material Girl" Madonna medley, Sting doing Fine Young Cannibals' "She Drives Me Crazy" -- plus a group version of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" that also included Lady Gaga, Shirley Bassey and cameos by Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson. But it was Ms. Harry's rapidly changing appearance throughout the night, from (an unflattering) Emmylou Harris lookalike to a (sizzling) Madonna-esque look -- that really caught my eye. Perhaps she should have sang Culture Club's "Karma Chameleon" instead of sticking with her back-to-back No. 1's, "Call Me" and "Tide Is High."
