Extreme Homo Makeover

With zero fashion sense and no interest in shopping, it's a miracle I've lasted in the New York gay community as long as I have. So when I got invited to a big model party at one of the city's trendiest night spots -- Griffin in the Meatpacking District -- I decided my usual cat-hair-covered Old Navy T-shirt and cargo pants look just wasn't going to cut it. Lucky for me, I'm friends with John Varvatos' former right-hand-man who now makes celebrities look pretty for a living. who was willing to take take on the task of dressing me for "the ball." While I fought every idea tooth and nail -- slim jeans? no, my legs are too skinny; belt? what's that for? leather coat? no, I look like a lesbian in leather, plus my 10-year-old Adidas number will think I'm cheating on it -- I have to say he was pretty amazing. When I met Michael on the corner for dinner he about fell over and spent the whole night complimenting me saying he felt like he was "cheating" on me. Now I'm not going to deny that those "real" shoes aren't the most comfortable (who even knew they MADE shoes other than Skechers?!) and that those jeans didn't squeeze my nuts so hard that I will never father a child by in vitro fertilization. But the cold doorman at Griffin -- who was busy shooing off all the other guys with no chicks with them -- did actually speak to me long enough to find out I was on the list (gee, thanks!). So that alone made my night in "celebrity drag" more than worthwhile!

I myself, have no fashion sense, I mean I can match my socks but that's about it. I wear what I feel comfortable in, the "outfit" looks great! YOU look like you are being forced to carry out a suicide mission against your will! lol Did you feel comfortable in the clothes? Congrats on stretching your boundaries though, it takes blind faith and strength to do that.
;) peace

Wow, Kenneth, I am so jealous of you, you sex society queen, you! What in the hell is your secret?! You looked like such a dork when you were a teenager, and you really didn't look that great in your twenties, but now, you look great! You've blossomed into a handsome man... in those stylish clothes, you definitely look like you would fit in at a party in the fashion world! I'm proud of you, man!

Kenneth,

You look great. The black leather jacket is a classic that will always serve you well. As to the skinny jeans, you should be thrilled you are slim enough to be able to wear them.

You look terrific! And I bet you enjoyed hearing Michael complimenting you.

So, do you think this will begin the era of Fashionista Kennethinthe212?

I liked the look. It's good to change up the look, if only for one night.

You clean up nicely (and hot) -- also makes you look about 10 years younger.

You look really nice dressed-up, Kenny. Doesn't get it old wearing crappy jeans & cruddy t-shirts? Must you always dress like an 8 year old? Welcome to the world of grown-ups!
