RIP: Mary Travers

Folk singing legend Mary Travers -- who put the merry in Peter, Paul and Mary -- died at 72 yesterday after a long battle with leukemia. "Leaving on a Jet Plane" was a childhood favorite of mine although I must say I hadn't heard much from her in decades. I mean, she didn't play Cuddles in "Polyester," did she?

Asshole. Cuddles indeed. The woman was sick with leukemia for years and had gained a lot of weight due to her treatment. She used to be the hottest thing on 2 legs and I am gay!
If all you know is "Leaving on a Jet Plane" you missed 10 years of her career. She once had 3 albums in the top 5 at the same time! Show a little respect. Being flippant is cheap and below you.

Actually I kinda felt bad about the (accurate) comparison until I realized that photo was taken BEFORE she got sick -- so there!
