Self-Censorship?

Is Kirby Dick's political gay-hypocrite documentary, "Outrage," getting too hot for some media outlets to handle? NPR is said to be censoring its own review of the film, which names names and points fingers. I don't really understand what their vague "policy" not to report on people's private lives is all about (isn't that what nearly ALL feature reporting is?). And it's not really outing people if you're simply reporting on what's contained in a movie, is it? (Village Voice)
