A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the last time I saw the wonderful and talented Jessica Lange she was looking plastic-surgery weird. But these photos from over the weekend at a launch party here in New York for her just-released "50 Photographs by Jessica Lange," she looked positively normal -- and radiant.

From the moment I laid eyes on her in "King Kong" when I was 9 I loved her (even though it was a bomb, I saw it on the big screen with my parents during the infamous Blue Gremlin period right when it opened). The fun "How to Beat the High Cost of Living" and the shockingly erotic "Postman Always Rings Twice" sealed the deal, and then her Oscar darling period of "Frances," "Tootsie," "Country" and "Sweet Dreams" proved she was a true talent. ("Crimes of the Heart" is another fave of mine.) Like most actresses of a certain age, there don't seem to be too many good parts for Jessica these days (the last time I saw her was in that HBO film "Normal"), and I'm afraid her upcoming turn as Big Edie opposite Drew Barrymore's Little in the film version of "Grey Gardens" has disaster written all over it. Still, it's nice to see she's doing the things she loves.

Jeff Daniels looks a little too "normal," and then there's Tommy Tune ...

I agree!

I just happened to catch her on "The View" last week and she was beautiful.

I saw King Kong in the theater the day after Christmas when I was a little kid. I loved it SO much. I still watch it whenever I stumble across it on cable.

Cheesy goodness! Dwan. Gotta love that.

She was also excellent in "Everybody's All-American." And yes, she looks lovely.
