Under Blue Moon

I was never half the Echo and the Bunnymen fan my friend Greg and my brother Terence were. But I am kinda mad at myself for not going to see their Radio City Music Hall show this week, during which they played their classic 1984 album, “Ocean Rain,” in full, with an orchestra and "in style." "The Killing Moon" (below) is certainly one of the great songs of the '80s, and when you look back at the band's catalog -- including "Do It Clean, "Rescue," "The Cutter," "Bring on the Dancing Horses" and "Lips Like Sugar" -- plus Ian McCulloch's sexy mouth, I'm beginning to wonder why Echo and the Bunnymen weren't higher on my list back when ...

Echo is a very interesting group. My brother, who is a rock musician, greatly respects their talent.

You really missed out, Kenneth! It was an amazing show, and not only did they do Ocean Rain, but they did an entire set of hits before playing the album. A truly great show.
