I got a promotional copy of this kid Jon McLaughlin's new album, "OK NOW," in the mail yesterday. And while I can't say I've spent a lot of time listening to it, I haven't been able to stop looking at it. Guess this cutie's an Indiana-born, Jesus-fearing type (married!), who has had a couple of hits --including "Beautiful Disaster" and the Oscar-nominated "So Close," which he performed on camera in the film "Enchanged" (can you blame the producers for wanting to put that face in the film?) His new single is "Beating My Heart," and if you're at all interested, it sounds like Maroon 5 and Coldplay had a (gorgeous) baby ...

He is dreamy-riffic. Not a huge fan either, but the song 'Indiana' on his last album is a really beautiful song - give it a listen.
i love this guy. he played at the bowery earlier this year and got the chance to meet him after the show- definitely 'morning wood' material.
His first CD was excellent. I can't wait to listen to this one. He sounds great in concert and is very funny.
