By the time you read this Michael and I will be on a jet plane en route to San Diego, where we are meeting up with my entire family for a surprise gathering for my stepdad's 60th birthday. We're staying not far from Carlsbad, where my parents used to live in, and are spending the end of the trip visiting old friends up in the O.C. While I'm away my good pal Marc Lallanilla -- a talented writer with his own site whom you may recall reviewed Goldfrapp for me over the weekend -- has graciously agreed to fill in here in the (212).
