Hi Kenneth: I am so excited for the release of Square Pegs on DVD, but i am holding off buying it til i hear for sure that the music is intact. I'm afraid that they didn't secure music rights, and all the fab music wont be part of it. Who could ever forget Muffy Tepperman's new wave bat mitzvah. And I'm sure the Waitresses came on to play a school dance too. Like you, probably, I *was* Johnny Slash. Yes, for about 7 years of the 80s I had a braided rat tail! --bruce

Don't forget... Devo played in the grocery store! I think they'll get clearance on all the songs, as most songs on the show were by bands that weren't chart whores.
This will be interesting to see if they have the music rights. When Bosom Buddies went into syndication, they no longer had the Billy Joel them "My Life" but rather some random song I think may have been Stephanie Mills? WKRP in Cincinatti doesn't have any of the music from the original series on their DVD from what I have heard and it takes away a lot from the program...with DJ's introducing soundless songs...and strange voiceovers where there had been music with the dialogue.
Can't wait for the DVD series!!!
Oh, I am SO there.
Best news I've heard all day. . .
Square Pegs.
Square,
Square,
Pegs!
