Song of the Day: 'If I Had You' by Debbie Harry

Well, it appears the rumors are true. Blondie is hitting the road again this summer to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album from 1978, "Parallel Lines." Check here for tour dates (the list is being constantly updated).

And in the meantime, check out this low-rent video for Debbie Harry's "If I Had You," the second "single" off of last year's solo effort, "Necessary Evil." I'm guessing it was made by a fan (it uses old stills and clips from ancient Blondie videos cut together with a live shot of Debbie singing the new song), but it's still always a treat to watch Debbie in action and relive her beauty in its prime ...

It's ironic that Debbie H. and Madonna are nearly back to back. Both are classic examples of how to age badly, Category A and B. Always loved Debbie, but it's an embarassment to see photos of her anymore. Especially when you remember she was the goddess that was hangin' on the telephone.

Moose: There's no irony here. You do realize Madonna is 49 and Debbie is 62, don't you? If Madge -- who has always been far more athletic and fit than the Blondie babe -- has chosen to go down this road in her late 40s then I can only imagine what she'll look like in her 60s.
