Page 1 Consider (10/02)

  • Dr. Love: The producers of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" are no fools. Eric Dane, who plays Dr. Mark Sloan -- better known as McSteamy, a role he originated in a guest appearance last season -- has been added as a regular member of the cast. Dane made headlines around the world when he stepped out of a hotel bathroom in nothing but a towel last week, from which I'm still recovering. (HR)

  • Sticky Fingers: Suddenly House Speaker Dennis Hastert is singing a very different tune and is very concerned about former Republican Rep. Mark Foley's online relationship with a number of male pages. I guess asking a 16-year-old where he likes to "unload it" when he masturbates isn't part of the GOP's family agenda after all. The FBI is looking into a possible prosecution of the 52-year-old NAMBLA poster "boi." (WP)

  • Rocket Fuel? My ex-husband Roger Clemens is "the rocket," a Major League Baseball superstar since 1984. Now, questions are being raised about how he has performed so well for so long.. The Los Angeles Times reported Sunday that former pitcher Jason Grimsely claimed in a federal affidavit that Clemens was one of several players who used performance-enhancing drugs. Say it isn't so Big Daddy. (ABC)

  • Kindergarten Pop: Gov. Aronold Schwarzenegger continued sending mixed messages to LGBT Californians when he signed into law three gay-positive bills but vetoed another. On Thursday the Republican governor signed into law a bill that would make it more difficult for defendants to use the "gay panic" defense. Schwarzenegger also signed a bill that encourages equal treatment of gays and transgender people in political campaigns. The third pro-gay bill he signed was the Civil Rights Housing Act of 2006, which will change housing laws to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. The Safe Place to Learn Act was vetoed by the governor. This bill would have strengthened existing state law by clearly prohibiting the bullying of LGBT students in California schools. Ironically, Schwarzenegger probably would have been better off signing just this bill as stopping anti-gay behavior on the playground -- when kids are impressionable and can still be molded -- would likely build a future where the other issues would take care of themselves. • 'Homophobia Is Gay': Something tells me this catchy campaign isn't going to turn out so well. (PinkNews)

  • Reality Check: My co-worker Shannon watches "Flavor of Love" so I don't have to, but when I saw last night's "Final Three" episode was just starting right as I got home from work, I knew I'd have to be Krazy not to watch something this Deelishis. New York's mom was back in the house -- and girl was not having any of Flav again. After pretending she had a terminal illness to try to get New York to eliminate herself and come home with her, Mrs. NY about died when her daughter made the final two -- begging the good lord to "take me now, please. take me now!" (NYT)

  • Beautiful Bride: The adorable Amanda Peet, who stars on the new show "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and is one of my favorite actresses, got married this weekend in New York. Turns out the adorable ex-Jack is four months pregnant with her longtime beau screenwriter David Benioff child. (People)

Mega Dittos on attempting to recover from McSteamy's appearance on Grey's Anatomy last week. The eye candy on this show is out of this world. McDreamy, McSteamy, McVet, and my personal favorite, George. I swear I am head over heals for George. He is just so cute! I hope that the producers make Chris O'Donnell's character, Finn, a regular cast member as well.
