The N.Y. Times has confirmed that it has received in its mailroom an envelope containing white powder, raising fears that would-be terrorists couldn't think of anything original, instead copying the string of anthrax-tainted letters sent to newsrooms in 2001. (Reuters)
UPDATE: Reliable sources say the NYPD has concluded its testing of the white substance and it is "non-threatening" ... employees are returning to the 8th floor.
