Page 1 Consider (07/06)

  • Court Blows Gays Off (and not in a good way): The highest courts in Georgia and New York rejected two same-sex marriage claims, with the Georgia Supreme Court reinstating a voter-approved ban on gay marriage and New York's Court of Appeals ruling same-sex unions are not allowed under state law. Like all struggles for civil rights, the battle will continue on, but where were those "activist judges" we're always hearing about from the GOP when we needed them most? (AP)
  • Stars, They're Just Like Us: Matthew McConaughey, no failure to paunch here. (Dlisted)

  • Killerless Instinct: Belgian Kim Clijsters told reporters yesterday that winning tournaments wasn't what was important to her, but making friends on tour was. (Some BS about how you can't talk to trophies when you're retired from the game, but you can call up friends.) Well, if that's how she really feels than Justine Henin-Hardenne will likely be her BFF, as Clijsters rolled over for her once again in a major. Next up for Herpes Woman? Amelie Mauresmo, who also has a history of being "friendly" to her opponents in the clutch. (AP)
  • Madonna: Like this money-grubbing hag needs another excuse for wearing track suits? (Made In Brazil)

  • Note to Juliet: It's like I've always said to my balcony-obsessed lover, they seem like good ideas, but then they end up being like boats. (NYT)

  • PNP: I knew Chad Lowe had been hanging out in a tina hole. Why else would he be married to a tranny? (AP)

  • Lost Opportunities: It's too bad this never happened, I'm sure there would have been a huge market for an instructional acting video starring Michael Jackson and Marlon Brandon. (NBC)

Really? Does Madonna have to be a hag?
