Oxygen is currently airing the original version of the show, about a beauty salon owner (played by series creator Julia Davis) who may be the most self-centered person on earth: In the first scene of the show's pilot, for instance, she learns that her husband is dying of a terminal disease; in the second scene, she visits a dating service. The show will be produced by Sony Pictures Television, where Star is based. (Advocate)
