French Toast

The comeback "kid" Martina Hingis outlasted up-and-coming Israeli star Shahar Peer in three sets to set up a quarterfinal showdown with No. 2 seed Kim Clijsters, the very woman she played at this year's Australian Open in her first Grand Slam tournament since her return.

Meanwhile, France's Julien Benneteau advanced to the quarters when sexy Spaniard Alberto Martin -- who was the benefactor of Andy Roddick's foot problems in the first round -- had to pull out with an injury of his own (back). (It was nice watching the trainer try to revive him, though. The only way it might have been hotter was if he'd suffered a groin pull.) (AP)
