Song of the Day: 'No Tea, No Shade' by Marilyn

Still not clear who is bankrolling this latest batch of songs by Marilyn, but won't look a gender-bending horse in the mouth.

P.S. I don't speak "Drag Race," but shouldn't this be "No Tea, No Shade""?

Song of the Day: 'More' by Marilyn

Another unreleased track from Maz's most recent foray back into music. (Was there a scrapped album's worth?) It's not bad, but the video with all its vintage footage -- and a current ass shot! -- is the real keeper.

Song of the Day: 'Just Be' by Marilyn

Nice new song from Marilyn, that he produced with Scott Houzet and Victoria Wilson James. It was recorded at the Barbican, and features Claudia Fontaine ("Cry and Be Free," "Every Day I Write the Book") on backing vocals and Eric Robinson fingering the Steinway. Sadly, the singer laments on social media that it will never see the light of day beyond this slideshow video.

Song of the Day: 'O-o-h Child' by the Five Stairsteps

This song is such a classic it's hard to believe it peaked at No. 8.

Did you know gender-bender Brit Marilyn recorded a (demo) cover, which was included on the compilation CD my friend Greg and I produced of the singer's work?

Fun Couples: Goldie Hawn and Marilyn

I don't know which thing I'm more excited about -- Marilyn's comeback or Goldie Hawn playing Amy Schumer's mom in a new film! The blond bombshells were both guests on "Loose Women" today, along with Boy George, who was instrumental in the "Calling Your Name" singer's second chance.

P.S.

Gender-Bender Pop Star Marilyn Visits Namesake's Final Resting Place

Just made my pilgrimage to take flowers and send my love to Miss Monroe...feel really upset as it goes...gone but NEVER forgotten 💛🌟
Very touching to see Marilyn, who was fittingly born the year Norma Jean died, pay his respects at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery. (Perhaps he can become bunkmates. The crypt above hers might be available now that the eBay bidder who "bought" it for $4.6 million had to cancel because of problems "paying.")

Marilyn -- whose comeback single, "Love or Money," is out now (order HERE) -- has been living it up in Los Angeles and Las Vegas with Culture Club the past week or two.

Song of the Day: 'Love or Money' by Marilyn

Legendary Blitz Club figure and '80s pop tart Marilyn is back with his first single in three decades, yet it sounds like the natural follow-up to "Pray for That Sunshine." I'm perplexed who is backing this unlikely comeback -- for someone who has long been out of the public eye and battling addiction, girlfriend's body still rocks! -- but welcome it just the same. Please visit us in the Big Apple, Maz!

Pop Life

I didn't realize there was any bad blood between the '80s gender-benders, but happy to read that Peter Burns and Marilyn have buried the hatchet after running into each other in London. Marilyn says he's on the brink of releasing his first new music in decades and Pete, it would seem, is busy living a more natural lifestyle.
