Sad to read about the death of Jim Seals, who was one-half of the 1970s duo Seals and Crofts. Their biggest hit, "Summer Breeze," was released the year my brain started to register music, which explains why I know every word and every breath as if they were my Social Security number. Hurts even more because my brother Bill was such a fan of light rock, which like so many other things he passed on to me and our other brother, Terence. RIP.
