I've been a fan of women singing (Tom) Waits ever since Tracey Thorn covered "Downtown Train" back in '92. Now a dozen other women have had the honor, as part of "Come Up to the House: Women Sing Waits," a new tribute to the influential singer/songwriter, who turns 70 next month.
