Chelsea's once-famed Eighth Avenue looks more like a ghost town these days, but DNAinfo now reports that the former home of the Rawhide will soon have a new tenant, having just been snatched up by the owner of the Blue Store, an "adult" shop a couple doors down. The old bar will become "a high-end sex toy and lingerie shop,” but the original Blue Store will apparently stay open too. How the (not-really-gay-anymore) neighborhood can sustain these two stores, plus THREE other adult shops just across the way is anyone's guess. But I guess we have to be grateful for the sidewalks to be littered with even more hustlers instead of more banks, nail salons and drugstores. Meanwhile, Boy Culture reports that Unicorn -- an adult shop next to Barracuda that's been there forever -- is closing up shop. Details HERE.
