Playing Possum?

She's one of my all-time favorites and an infrequent live performer, so I debated schlepping out to Atlantic City for the Carly Simon show at the Borgata. In the end, I couldn't bring myself to do it (anyone remember the "Sex and the City" episode out there and that horrendous bus ride where they played Old Maid?), and based on the set list I found online, boy am I glad I didn't. There were (an impressive) 18 songs played -- only FIVE of them weren't by Carly! It seems she had her son, Ben, and her other guitarist David Saw do a few too. Note to Carly: we know you have stage fright and we know you're in your 60s now. But we want to see YOU at YOUR concerts. Not your kids or band members! And for $175, I haven't got time for the pain ...
