The Yankees' baby-faced Alabama infielder Andy Phillips caught my eye over the weekend. Michael and I may be seeing another Mets-Yankees showdown on Sunday, so hopefully Andy will get to play some. I read that his wife, Bethany, was recently diagnosed with a form of cancer related to failed pregnancies but successfully underwent chemotherapy. Here's wishing her a full recovery -- and what better way to get better than with a big, strong man by your side?

Sporting Wood: Andy Phillips

Yes... that gave me wood.
Can you tell I have a thing for baseball players?
Yeah, me too. Despite my anti-fat reputation, I'm a bit of a "chubby chaser" ... and those baseball players tend to be a little beefier than other sports :-)
