Stellar single from the U.K. band's "Cool for Cats" LP (this and the titular track are the band's biggest chart hits -- even surpassing "Tempted" and "Labelled With Love.") My friend Lynn said she always thought Graham Parker's "Temporary Beauty"
sounded awfully similar to "Up the Junction," and while I had never noticed the similarly before, a fresh listen does reveal a commonality, in an "Express Yourself"/"Born This Way" kind of way. For the record, Squeeze was Madonna to Parker's Gaga in this case.
