Weekend Tennis Roundup

We're still waiting for winners in Beijing and Tokyo, but the ATP beef can't wait BELOW.

A look inside Fabio Fognini's underwear drawer HERE.

Will update this when the tournaments are over, but didn't want to let the meat go bad in the meantime ...

UPDATE 1:

Carlos Alcaraz kept his incredible year going by beating Taylor Fritz 6-4 6-4 at the Japan Open -- before pulling out of this week's Shanghai Masters. Incredibly, it was the world No. 1's eighth ATP title of the year.

In doubles, Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin toppled Rohan Bopanna and Takeru Yuzuki 7-5, 7-5 in the final to capture their first title of the season at the ATP 500 event.

Champs!

In Beijing, Jannik Sinner will face Learner Tien, who advanced when Daniil Medvedev apparently started cramping, although people were skeptical of this. He finally got his stuff together and easily dismissed Alexander Zverev in the previous round, only for this to happen. It doesn't look good for Tien, although Sinner did drop a set to Alex de Minaur.

UPDATE 2:

Jannik Sinner bounced back from US Open disappointment by returning to the winner's circle on Wednesday at the China Open in Beijing, where he overcame first-time tour-level finalist Learner Tien 6-2, 6-2 to clinch his third title of the season.

In doubles, Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten clinched their second tour-level title of the season on Wednesday, where they clawed past singles stars Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.

Didn't realize Richard Krajicek was the director of the Tokyo tournament, an event he actually won in 1997.
