Man Puts Selfie-Interests Above Child's Welfare

Is Bryan Asrary one of the most vile people of all time? Clearly the answer is YES.

Gay Guy Who Spent $100,000 to Look Like Justin Bieber Found Dead

A sad end to an extraordinarily sad life.

TMZ reports:
Toby Sheldon -- who became famous for spending more than $100k to look like Justin Bieber -- has been found dead ... TMZ has learned. We're told Toby's body was found in a Motel 6 in the San Fernando Valley on August 21. He has been reported missing since August 18. Law enforcement tells TMZ, police found drugs in the room but it's unclear how he died. When Toby went missing, the LAPD said the disappearance may have been triggered by a breakup with his boyfriend. The 35-year-old had appeared on the shows "Botched" and "My Strange Addiction."

Black Humor

I don't understand the controversy here. I thought black people were allowed to use it.

Can't Stop the World

In this interview, Belinda Carlisle discusses her new single, "Sun," from yet another best-of album (yawn), plus gives advice to Justin Bieber, talks about the early days of the Go-Go's, the secrets to a successful marriage and her obsession with Kundalini yoga. Hard to believe she's into something that "develops strength, awareness, character and consciousness," yet fell prey to Jane Wiedlin's pathetic, passive-aggressive manipulation (using Belinda's own son) to get bassist Kathy Valentine on Belinda's shit list -- and eventually shit-canned -- for writing a memoir on Twitter. Kathy's tweets were fascinating stuff -- being held at gunpoint in her Hollywood Hills home with Carlene Carter et al.! -- and would make an incredible book. (Now if only Belinda's had been so candid and honest -- perhaps it wouldn't have bombed!) I've gotten dozens of e-mails since this post went up this morning, but all I can add is this: When you're a still acting like a mean "girl" in your 50s, you know you've got issues.  #TimeToGrowUp

Justin Bieber's 'Bully' Pulpit

The Weinstein Company announced today that Justin Bieber continues to support "Bully" by allowing his song "Born to Be Somebody" to be used in the film's latest television spot.

From a release:

"My fans are always up for supporting a great cause. It's one of the things I'm most proud of as an entertainer," said Bieber. "I hope they see BULLY with their friends and help start the conversation so we can end bullying."

Bieber joins a long list of celebrities who have graciously supported the film's mission and was one of the dozens of stars who helped #BullyMovie trend on Twitter recently raising further awareness as the film approached its release in theaters. Other celebrities have stepped out in their own ways to help get the word out including: Ellen DeGeneres featuring the families from the film on her show; Meryl Streep and attorneys David Boies and Ted Olson hosting an NYC screening; Victoria Justice, Giuliana Rancic and Joel McHale hosting the LA premiere; Anderson Cooper and Kelly Ripa hosting an NYC screening; Anderson Cooper hosting a town hall special on CNN to discuss bullying with Dr. Phil, Kelly Ripa and BULLY director Lee Hirsch; Tommy Hilfiger designing T-shirts; and many other supporters shooting PSAs.

BULLY leads all non-fiction films so far for 2012 with its strong opening weekend attendance.

Really proud of the pop superstar for doing this. Can't help but wonder if he's inspired because he looks so much like one of the kids profiled in it. My review HERE.
