Famed COLT Studio Founder and Male Physique Photographer Jim French Is Dead at 84

Former WeHo City Council member Steve Schulte (as a Colt model he was renamed Nick Chase)

Jim French, the legendary male physique photographer for Colt Studio -- which politely refused me a job in 1992 because they didn't want to "ruin my journalism career" -- known for his hypermasculine imagery of muscular and often hairy men has died at 84.
