This unsigned post appeared on Facebook last week, proving it's never too late to love your dad:

“For Father’s Day this year I recreated my favorite picture of my dad. It’s him after he graduated high school in 1980 and me after graduating today.”

Cheers to all the halfway decent dads* of the world -- or any who look like this!

On a personal note: Want to wish my mom and stepdad a very happy 51st(!) anniversary! 🥂  

And happy Father’s Day to my stepdad, Gary, who was brave enough to take on three snot-nosed boys who were deeply damaged by having -- and also losing -- a beloved alcoholic father. It couldn’t have been easy, but I am grateful that you’re in our lives. You are loved. 

And also a big hug to Damian and his four sisters, who are marking their first Father's Day since their dad died last month. I’m thankful I got to know the man who helped produce such a remarkable son. xo

*Remember: Even the best dad in the world is a mediocre mom.
