Song of the Day: 'Since I Fell for You' by Bonnie Raitt

Got chills last weekend when Bonnie Raitt's 1971 cover of this blues classic started to play during the closing credits of Episode 7 of "Hacks," with Deborah and Marty dancing into the night. I know many people love the binge lifestyle that streaming television has afforded us. But question for you: Are Damian and I the only ones who still like to dole things out? We started Jean Smart's latest gem several weeks ago and still have two more to go, happy to make an event out of each "new" installment. Got me wondering if we’re alone here.

And yes, the definitive version for me growing up was by the Captain and Tennille!

Song of the Day: 'Nick of Time' by Madeline Kenney

Damian played this one last night -- perhaps to show solitary after kicking me and Maria McKee off the soundbar while he made dinner. (He who cooks controls the music, of course!) It's funny that he picked it because Spotify autoplayed Bonnie Raitt yesterday at the gym after the Linda Ronstadt album I was listening to ended -- she also popped up in the Linda documentary the other night -- and despite liking a handful of country and country-adjacent acts, Bonnie's never really been one of them. Nothing "against" her, of course. Just was never really my cup of tea ... until this cover!
