Weekend Tennis Roundup

Jannik Sinner and Marta Kostyuk cleaned up in Madrid. Full report plus all the ATP beef -- including Tommy Paul's hot friend's ass -- that's fit to post BELOW.

Ooh la la!

Jannik Sinner won the Madrid Open, defeating Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-2 in the final. This victory is historic, making him the first man in history to win five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles. At this point all non-fans can do is pray he gets injured soon.

Marta Kostyuk upset Mirra Andreeva 6-3, 7-5 in the women's final. This victory earned her a first-ever WTA 1000 title and marked her second tournament win in as many weeks after her triumph in Rouen.

Two very different reactions in Madrid

Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara claimed their fourth title of the season, edging Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 in the Madrid for their second Masters 1000 crown together. It caps a hot run -- titles in Adelaide, Doha and Dubai, plus finals in seven of their past 10 events -- leaving them atop the ATP Doubles Race.

Damian and I, of course, were mostly glued to the TV because of the Frenchman Guinard, whose movie-star looks dazzled us throughout the match that narrowly slipped away.

Alexander Blockx reached the semifinals in Madrid, marking a massive breakout for the 21-year-old Belgian. Entering the main draw as a late replacement, he toppled Cristian Garin, Brandon Nakashima, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Francisco Cerundolo and dethroned defending champion Casper Ruud in the quarters before finally falling to world No. 3 Alexander Zverev.

God I hope he's for real
