It's Christmas Time in the City

As I walked out of work tonight, I suddenly got inspired to stop by to see the lighting of the tree in Rockefeller Center. What was I thinking? An hour later of being pushed and shoved, I finally found my way back to the F train. I suppose this is what David Foster Wallace would call another supposedly fun thing I'll never do again. #ForgotIHatePeople

New York City AIDS Memorial Approved

  Some good news from Greenwich Village: After much bickering, a design for the future New York City AIDS Memorial at St. Vincent's Hospital Park has finally been approved. It still sickens me that the hospital where so many lost loved ones to the insidious disease is being converted to a luxury condo complex (Rosie O'Donnell is a charter resident!), but at least we have something.
