I miss the salad days of tennis, when we were treated to fun stuff like this! @Martina @chrissieevert pic.twitter.com/iPKakVlkuV— Kenneth M. Walsh (@kenneth212) April 16, 2020

Tales From the Underground Tennis DVD Market
The best part about this is post on my Facebook wall is that Dave was my old boss -- and he just happened to be a Chris Evert queen with Tracy rising! Not only did he become a great friend, he's mailing me the DVD!
I tweeted at Pam and she immediately "liked" it!
I didn't have a camera with me when I met her in 1981. But here's Tracy at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in 2012 at the club's 50th anniversary!

Novak Sandwich
I certainly hope Chris Evert and Billie Jean King read Novak Djokovic the riot act for his idiotic comments about the WTA. (P.S. I didn't even know they had a Madame Tussauds in Miami.)

Top 10 Wealthiest Women's Tennis Players
No surprise that Maria and the Williams sisters top the list. What is surprising is the inclusion of Anna Kournikova -- could she really have made THAT much money from endorsements back in the day? -- and another player who has never a major. Lesbians are nowhere to be found, but another Golden Oldie still ranks. Read HERE.

My Blood Runs Cold
Just when it seemed the era of women's tennis stars looking utterly ridiculous in their attempts to glam up off the court was over (my angel Steffi Graf sure makes a fetching centerfold in the new issue of Glamour, although I wonder what Gunter Parche thinks of an equally -- if not more so -- stunning and slenderrific Monica Seles?), once again we have to receive a rude splash of cold water in the face from Jennifer Capriati, whose red-carpet makeover brings back haunting memories of the 1985 WTA Calendar. Trust me, they could even make Chris Evert look like Nancy "Take a powder!" Lieberman, and the image of Hana Mandlikova in a dress and makeup is something that never goes away, no matter how many times you wash.
