Model Behavior?

My original headline for this was "When I Had the Nerve to Be Photographed Standing Next to Hottest Male Model Working"(!) -- but what makes running into Walter Savage at the SAGE Toys Party last night so ironic is that earlier in the day I had seriously contemplated unfollowing him on Instagram over this exchange with fellow model Kamil Nicalek that was left on a photo of the two men at a recent event:

Adding more irony to the whole thing is that Kamil -- who wasn't on "The Bachelor" but rather was the first one eliminated on this season of "The Bachelorette," a show I might add a gay friend of mine was also on -- was actually a bartender at Chelsea's legendary Splash, where he befriended none other than my boyfriend while building up his "social-media following." With Walter being a big supporter of SAGE it's hard to imagine he's homophobic in any meaningful way. But this need to "defend" someone from gay speculation -- and Kamil's "haters going to hate" retort -- shows we're still not quite where we want to be on LGBTQ issues, even with some of our allies. 

P.S. I didn't say anything to him about it -- he seems like a decent guy -- but I do wish straight men could lighten up a bit about the G-word.

And need even more irony? Kamil just happened to be my Morning Wood two Wednesdays ago!

Had a great time -- per usual -- at SAGE's annual Toys Party last night at Chelsea Piers. Went with Greg and Chad, above, and then met up with Tim and Frank, in addition to running into a bunch of old friends. (Also met Fred Karger, who is taking on the very political Mormon church's tax-exempt status!)
