Weekend Tennis Roundup

Tennis is slowly coming back with exhibitions; Madison Keys is becoming a gay icon; there's talk of moving the U.S. Open to Indian Wells; plus lots of eye-candy in this week's tennis diary:

Jan-Michael Gambill wished brother Torrey a happy birthday. He's the slightly straighter brother, which might explain his brief flirtation with being a Trump supporter, something he seems to have scrubbed from social media.

Madison Keys may never win a major. But she's well on her way to becoming a GAY ICON.

There's talk that the U.S. Open could end up being moved to Indian Wells in November

Cesar Ramirez puts the meat in a Harrison bros. sandwich. Gotta love that Ryan realize his brother is such a HOT PIECE.

I'm open to whatever tricks Cameron Henricy Trigolos has up his sleeve

Reilly Opelka and Tommy Paul's new eyelashes are slated to compete against each other in an exhibition in May 8-10 in West Palm Beach, Fla., along with Tennys Sandgren against Matteo Berrettini.

The event will supposedly air on The Tennis Channel,  hich will be a welcome break from its just showing matches from the past 10 years that we've all seen 100 times.

Ever the tease, Stan Wawrinka tweets: Can’t eat these all by myself...anyone care to join me?  #sundayfunday #nutella #muffin #stantheman #fattystan

After so much sadness, Roberto Bautista Agut finally has some joyous news to share:  His wife is expecting a baby!

Weekend Tennis Roundup

Can't say this year's Aussie Open hasn't been exciting so far. Of note, was incredibly impressed by Qiang Wang' and CoCo Gauff in their wins over Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka -- but disappointed they lost in their next rounds. Can't believe we're having to deal with Tennys Sandgren again. (But Reilly Opelka had to lose?) This Dominic Thiem-Thomas Muster drama has me intrigued only we don't really know what happened -- and Brad ADHD Gilbert couldn't focus long enough on-air to explain if he did or was just speculating.

John Millman nearly pulled off another upset of Roger Federer. Couldn't believe Karen Khachanov came back from two sets down against Nick Kyrios only to lose 10-8 in a fifth-set tiebreak. Borna Coric still can't win.  It's really starting to feel like Karolina Pliskova and Madison Keys are never going to fulfill their potential. Exciting to have the first Muslim woman deep in a major -- Ons Jabeur will take on Sofia Kenin in the quarters. Nice to see Garbine Muguruza playing well again. (Perhaps reteaming with Conchita Martinez was a good call?)

Would still love to see a new man win a major (ideally Thiem, although I don't see it happening), but will settle for Novak on top. Everyone thought Medvedev might be the one to finally break through. But as I said after the U.S. Open, he doesn’t seem to have what it takes upstairs to win a big one. Stan Wawrinka homed in on that to beat the young Russian in five unforgettable sets. And I'm pretty content with a number of women winning -- particularly Kvitova or Kerber.

In the meantime, some fun from around the net ...

Can't get enough of Jonny O'Mara, especially naked ...

He and partner Marcelo Arevalo are into the quarterfinals ...

Loving the love for Caroline Wozniacki.

I never found her game to be particularly exciting -- but she seems like a sweet woman.

Michael Venus is an animal ...

Nikola Mektic assumes the position ...

Forget winning: Borna's skank tank is all that matters ...

John Millman will always have his looks to fall back on ...

Austrians do it better.
