It's Either Sadness or Euphoria: "First love fixes a life forever: this much I have discovered over the years. It may not outrank subsequent loves, but they will always be affected by its existence. It may serve as model, or as counterexample. It may overshadow subsequent loves; on the other hand, it can make them easier, better. Though sometimes, first love cauterises the heart, and all any searcher will find thereafter is scar tissue."

Idiom Course

"Just deserts" may actually be the proper usage. But something tells me Chris Christie prefers it with the extra "s"!

Post Mortem

Missed this classic New York Post cover while I was away, but of course Chris Christie knew of the Bridgegate closings in real time. Read HERE.

Christie Love

Feeling overshadowed by Donald Trump's ego, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie acted like, well, Chris Christie in recent days in an attempt to get some attention. Regarding birth control, I don't think not being unable to reach your wife's vagina counts as a "method," but thanks for sharing.

Meanwhile, Educate the Public has a suggestion regarding his stance on marijuana:
Here's a better idea: Stop putting non violent offenders in jails that are run by the private sector to make money.

Bridge Over Troubled Water

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie not only threw his childhood friend David Wildstein turned high-ranking Port Authority appointee under the bus, Chrsitie acted like he barely knew the guy when he declared that in high school he (the gov) was a "jock and class president" while Wildstein ran with an inferior crowd. (Ouch.) Wildstein is now talking, telling everyone that he has proof that Christie knew about the George Washington Bridge lane closings in a move straight out of "Revenge of the Nerds." Read HERE.

Page 1 Consider (01/09)

I've never understood why people like closet extremist Chris Christie. Here's hoping Bridgegate exposes him for the petty, arrogant bully he so obviously is.
