'The Rules of Attraction' Coming to TV

Before I became a nonfiction aficionado, I dabbled in all the young '80s literary stars: Jay McInerney, Michael Chabon, Tama Janowitz. "Bright Lights, Big City" was a revelation, but the more gay-friendly Bret Easton Ellis quickly moved to the front, first with "Less Than Zero" and then even more so with the curiously bi college tale "Rules of Attraction." It took forever for it to become a film -- and like 1987's "Less Than Zero," I was a little bit letdown despite the man-candy casting (below) -- but with so many moving parts and characters, the idea of it becoming a series on Bravo(!) has me feeling like I'm 17 all over again!
