    His shorts look just like the ones I made in Ms. Valley's home economics class at Page Middle School in Madison Heights, Michigan. Our teacher was the first "Ms." I'd ever mt -- it was the height of the Equal Rights Amendment -- and she stretched out the "zzzzzzz" so you wouldn't think she was saying "Miss." That her discolored bottom teeth showed when she spoke only made the whole thing more unnerving. FYI, Ben: Besides sewing, I also learned to make a mean chipped beef on toast, in case you're wondering.
