I knew Wagner only from “Hart to Hart,” before I discovered his film career. For many years, he was a contract player at 20th Century-Fox, where the studio took full advantage of his dreamy good looks. His popularity began to wane by the early '60s, so Wagner turned to television. Wagner made a bit of a comeback later in his career with his appearances in the “Austin Powers” films.
