Anyone ever seen this alternate Debbie Harry doll? I only have the Barbie from Mattel's "Ladies of the '80s" collection, which my brother Bill bought me for Christmas back in 2009.

I started making custom Debbie Harry dolls back in 1995, and over the years quite a few wound up with members of Blondie and fellow fans. Before the Blondie reunion, Chris Stein even asked me for half a dozen of them. One can be seen with Debbie and Jimmy Destri in the 1999 BBC documentary "Blondie: Beneath the Bleach."
My favorite memory, though, is from 1997, when I took my 9-year-old daughter to see Debbie perform with the Jazz Passengers at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Through a friend of Debbie's, we were invited backstage afterward. I gave Debbie one of my dolls, and she signed another for me: "To Bob -- You're the real doll. Love Debbie Harry 97." She was especially sweet to my daughter, who is disabled, and posed for a photo with her.
We managed to get home before my wife, who had no idea about our little concert adventure. I had the photo developed the next day and put it on the bookcase. My wife was confused at first, but soon figured out what we'd done. My daughter and I were both grounded!
