It's hard to judge a new show on its pilot. Few start off working on all cylinders like MODERN FAMILY. That said, the pilot was funny and both Fran Drescher and John Michael Higgins both know how to milk the most out of a comedic situation. And I'm happy to see Rita Moreno & Robert Walden playing her mother and father. I also love that her best friend is played by EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS's Tichina Arnold. And what a pleasant surprise to see hunky D.W. Moffett showing a comedic side as Fran's first date after her divorce.
