While I generally don't believe people who play tennis in sunglasses deserve to live win, you gotta hand it to Aussie Samantha Stosur who held her cool to outlast world No. 1 Serena Williams today. We are gonna crown a new Grand Slam champ this year -- who woulda thunk it?
With those sunglasses, she must not have been able to read the standard how-to-play-Serena script. She got the "blow commanding lead" part but then lost track before the "lose" part.
Glad Samantha played with belief and beat Serena(my least favorite player). If she keeps this level up, she could and should be the next Roland Garros champion.
Titles for Tommy Paul, Rafael Jodar, Mariano Navone and Jessica Pegula. Full report plus all the ATP beef that's fit to post BELOW .

Sam has been playing great all year! I picked her to win this before the draw came out....and stuck with her even after she got the draw from hell!
