Via WOW, which writes: Madonna pulls a Gaga by ripping off Linda Ronstadt from 1977. (JK Miss Thing!)
P.S. I wonder if Madonna is as embarrassed as I am by some of her fans' comments on this post.

Dang, Madonna should have worn the short shorts, instead of the full on Cub Scout uniform with boots and all. Both women look great. I'd like to know why Linda wore hers at the time. Was if for support of gays in scouts or just to be cute? Anyhow, I like how you mentioned, "pulls a Gaga". I think that says it all. (Sometimes, I wonder if you're just playing devils advocate. ;)) Regardless, a true Madonna fan doesn't get all wrapped up in the Gaga - Madonna debate. No, a true Madonna fan just wishes for the best in humanity. Keep up the posts, Kenneth! I check out your page everyday. Granted I always sign as anonymous, but this time I'll stick my long neck out. Oof! I really hate it, but ever since Christina Aguilera's stylist knocked off the then-unknown-and-unlikely-to-become-famous Lady Gaga's style and CA got called out for it, ANY TIME someone posts a clever side-by-side like WOW did, people immediately see it as a copyright war. It's not like anyone would think Madonna was literally stealing Linda's idea. That's not the point. It's just a really clever double-take, pop (rep)eating itself. I miss being able to indulge in that without stans going on the warpath.
If people would realize and accept that everyone borrows from everyone and that Madonna didn't come up with everything and that just because there are similar looks or sounds or whatever... it doesn't mean one person stole anything from someone else. Jeeeze! Where was the OUTRAGE when Madonna STOLE(?) Marilyn's look, back in the day? People need to get over it! Celebrate what you like in an artist and stop bitching about the other stuff. NOBODY is truly original, when it comes down to it.
