Nekkid in Newcastle: Wanna see actor Lachlan Buchanan naked? Of course you do. (OMG) (use caution)
It Doesn't Compute: Amazon claims a computer error caused thousands of gay-related books on its site to lose their sales rankings, but some aren't buying it. (I supposed that was the same "computer error" that caused its site to recommend buyers of "Planet of the Apes" DVDs to also consider "similar items" like "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge," "Martin Luther King: I Have a Dream" and "What's Love Got to Do With It." (NYT)
Trainspotting: David Sedaris reflects on the one that got away. (The New Yorker)
The Saggy DA: Who wouldn't want to represent these two charmers accused of breaking a Florida's city's ban on saggy pants. Can you blame my mom for going up to a guy at the bowling alley we were at recently and pointing as his hairy butt crack and saying to him, "Do we really have to look at this?" (NYT)
This Much Is True: I'm reeeaaaaally excited about the Spandau Ballet reunion tour! (Remember the '80s)
Virgin Atlantic: Viewers overseas were stunned by the talent of a singer on a popular British talent show. I'm just in shock that she's "never been kissed." (Y Buzz)
Hanging With Mr. Thomas: In case you were wondering, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is every bit as awful as you think he is. (Sidebar)
School-Yard Bully: A community reacts to the death of 11-year-old Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover, who committed suicide after months of anti-gay taunts with little action from his school. (Advocate)
I wish Spandau (or Spandex as me & my friends would call them) would come here stateside for it. BTW, One of my friends was an obsessive fan of theirs back in the day. She tagged along with my best friend & I when they toured for "Parade" at the Universal Ampitheatre in LA. Needless to say, she turned into Wendie Jo Sperber from "I Wanna Hold Your Hand (LOVE that movie to death)! First she fainted when she saw their names in lights. Then again when she saw the poster of Martin & Gary Kemp (very sexy shot of both of them shirtless & wet-it didn't make me faint, but it sure did get excited- "down there"). He-he! Finally, she fainted twice more during the show- once when the band first first took the stage & then again when they played her favorite song). My friend & I left her for dead through most of show, HILARIOUS!
