Sux! The Serena-Justine rivalry was one of the most compelling story-lines in women's tennis.
This is really getting scary. Clijsters, Henin & Hingis are all gone, Davenport wont stick around much longer, and Venus & Serena are closing in on 30.
I would like to take credit for this wondrous occurrence.
Last week I spent an afternoon in Justine's home town of Liege, Belgium, and while I was there I said a little prayer outside St. Paul's Cathedral that she NOT win the French Open again this year.
Sometimes prayers ARE answered...
I SO won't miss Justine. Yeah, her backhand was a thing of beauty, but she was one cold-hearted, cheatin'-ass herpes-having beeyotch.
It's after 2 a.m. and I just got back from attending my friend Larry's funeral in Fort Lauderdale. I hope to resume regular blogging...

(BTW, the beer in Liege is amazing.)
it's a sad day for women's tennis. she was a true sportswoman.
she was no fancy American media star, but she knew how to play tennis...
